Off Your Trolley!

Castors are commonly used on supermarket trolleys. They allow a trolley to move in a straight direction with he castor rotating backwards as the trolley follows a forward motion down the aisle. The castor rotates to provide a smooth turn. Castors generally operate most effectively on smooth and flat surfaces which is why they are suitable for our supermarket trolleys.

They can of course have a variety of other uses and therefore are designed in many different sizes and materials depending on their intended use.
